Ms. Philips was originally from Texas but grew up in Hong Kong and Taiwan.  She came back to Texas to go to university and study Elementary Education. Right after graduation, she went back to Taiwan to teach English and has continued teaching English ever since then. She has taught English to all ages and all different group sizes in Henan, Guizhou and Sichuan in China as well as California. 

In her experience teaching English, she discovered how much she loves making learning fun!  She is an experienced teacher and teacher trainer using TPRS-Total Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling. She believes that the best way to learn a language is through first listening and reading. Then as the learner begins speaking, it will sound a lot like their first language. When using stories that are interesting and humorous, learners pick up vocabulary and grammar without the traditional method of memorizing vocabulary lists and grammar rules. 

In her free time, she loves being outdoors, traveling, eating delicious food, listening to music and watching movies.
