His duties included providing academic tutoring, college counseling, and standardized test preparation. After graduating from Stanford, he worked for the Talent Search Program, where he assisted over 400 San Francisco Bay Area students with every aspect of the college application and selection process.
When he relocated to Los Angeles, he started teaching SAT classes and offering college counseling to local youth. He has designed his own curriculum for SAT Reading and Writing and has developed test-taking strategies that have enabled
hundreds of students to dramatically improve their SAT scores, often by more than 200 points. Additionally, he has written numerous articles about the SAT, ACT, and the college application process that have garnered millions of views.
He joined the Mavin Learning team in the fall of 2017, and since then, he’s worked with students from middle school through college. He has helped Mavin’s students gain admission to selective middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Also, he’s
continued his work as an SAT tutor, focusing on preparing students for SAT Reading and Writing and the SAT Essay. While he pushes his students to reach their potential, he emphasizes having fun and enjoying the process. He respects all his students as individuals and wants them to pursue the path that will facilitate their success in every aspect of their lives.
