Dr. Amanda Maxham is an instructor who works with Mavin Learning Resources to help students achieve their goals. Amanda holds a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Amanda directed UNLV’s high-altitude balloon research program, where she worked with students to design, build and launch tracking and research payloads up to 130,000 feet!

Amanda loves working with students on specialized science projects–some of her favorites include designing software to help medical doctors visualize CT scan data, designing and launching a space flight computer and figuring out what tune a music box plays by just snapping a photo. Amanda has helped many students approach science and math with confidence. She is looking forward to working with you!
