Mrs. Ewan

Education: BA English and Creative Writing, Lewis and Clark College

Mrs. Ewan has over 20 years of teaching experience, specializing in English grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and ESL. She has worked as a credentialed ESL instructor in LAUSD as well as private language schools in Los Angeles and Seattle, and has provided one-on-one and small group tutoring. She has worked with a wide range of international and local students from ages 5-95, and loves working with children, tweens and teens.

An award-winning playwright and screenwriter, she holds an MFA in Stage and Screen Writing from Lesley University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from Lewis and Clark College. Her awards include The Kennedy Center American Colleges Theatre Festival, the Playwrights’ Center, iTVfest and most recently, the National Playwrights Conference.

She brings her creative writing skills to the table when helping students inject a little spark to their essays. She likes to understand each student’s particular learning style and try to find ways to make the subject matter interesting and fun.
